Pass the DET in 16 hours, not 16 weeks.
A focused group course built around the real test: live mocks, question-by-question drills, and the score-lifting habits examiners actually reward.
The English test you take from your bedroom.
The Duolingo English Test is a computer-adaptive proficiency test accepted by thousands of universities. One hour, on your own laptop, no test centre — the questions get harder or easier as you answer, so every minute counts.
You’re scored 10–160 across literacy, comprehension, conversation, and production. Because it’s adaptive, technique matters as much as vocabulary — and technique is exactly what we drill.

Questions people ask before booking
What sections does the Duolingo English Test have, and how does it go?
The test runs in three parts, back to back, in about an hour. First a 5-minute onboarding: ID check, room scan, and a rules walkthrough.
Then the graded 45-minute adaptive section, where question types are mixed rather than grouped — read-and-complete (type the missing letters in a passage), read-and-select (pick the real English words), listen-and-select (pick the real words you hear), listen-and-type (dictation, two plays only), read-aloud (record a sentence), write-about-the-photo (one minute per image), speak-about-the-photo, interactive reading (a passage with a set of linked tasks), interactive listening (a conversation you respond to, then summarise), plus a longer writing task and a longer speaking task at the end.
Finally a 10-minute unscored video interview and writing sample, sent to institutions alongside your score. You can’t go back to a question once it’s submitted, and each task has its own visible timer.
How is it scored?
One overall score from 10 to 160, plus four subscores: literacy, comprehension, conversation, and production. Every task feeds more than one subscore, which is why a weak read-aloud can quietly drag down your conversation number.
Which parts do students lose the most marks on?
Write-about-the-photo and interactive listening. Both reward a repeatable structure more than clever vocabulary, so we drill templates for them and time you on every attempt.
Who is this course for?
Anyone applying to a university or programme that accepts the Duolingo English Test and wants a fast, structured run-up to test day. You should already be comfortable holding a conversation in English — we’re here to lift your score, not teach you English from scratch.
How are the 16 hours spread out?
Across live group sessions covering every task type, with the mock tests spaced through the course so you still have time to fix what each one reveals. Ask us for the current schedule when you book.
How do the mock tests work?
You sit full mock tests with your group under real test conditions, spaced through the course so there’s time to fix what each one reveals. After every mock your teacher scores and marks up the answers with everyone — hearing other people’s mistakes is half the value.
Do I get practice questions to do on my own?
Yes. Practice questions are available for every task type throughout the course, so you can drill between sessions.
Can I use notes or my phone on test day?
No. The test is proctored: no notes, no phone, no second screen, no one else in the room. We run the mocks the same way so the rules don’t surprise you.
What’s included in the course fee?
Everything: 16 hours of live preparation, the group mock tests and their reviews, and the practice question bank. There are no extra fees on our side — the official Duolingo test fee is paid to Duolingo separately.
I want one-to-one instead. Is that possible?
It is. Private plans are built around your target score and deadline, with sessions weighted to your weakest sections. Contact us and we’ll send you a plan and a price.
What score should I aim for?
Most universities ask for 105–120, but check your programme’s page. Tell us your target when you join and we’ll shape your practice around it.
Want something more detailed, just for you?
Tell us your target score and your deadline. We’ll come back with a private one-to-one plan — hours, mocks, and price.
